McGlashan Butterfly Collection
On July 8, 2020, the Nevada County Historical Landmarks Commission received an Application from the Truckee-Donner Historical Society, stewards of the McGlashan Butterfly Collection on loan from the McGlashan Family and housed by the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District (TDRPD) at 10981 Truckee Way, Truckee, CA 96161 (the "Property"), requesting that the Collection, housed on the Property, be designated as a Nevada County Historical Resource.
The Board of Supervisors of Nevada County approved the Application as Resolution 20-528 and designated the Collection as Nevada County Historical Resource Nev 20-05.
There will be a plaque dedication recognizing the significance of the McGlashan Butterfly Collection to the history of Truckee on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10 am at the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District.
