A little about ourselves.
Located at 10115 Donner Trail Road, one block off Donner Pass Road, adjacent to Meadow Park, the TDHS Joseph Research Cabin is one of two cabins that have been preserved of what was originally the historic Gateway Motel built in the 1930s. The cabin was relocated to Meadow Park in 1991 by volunteer labor and fundraising efforts of TDHS members and the community. The Research Cabin is generally open on Thursdays from about 10 a.m. until about 2 p.m. for public visits and research questions. We encourage you to stop by and take a look around.
