Raffle Fun at the 2019 Old Timers' Picnic

Our second annual raffle for books of Truckee history and photographs of old Truckee was even more popular this year than in the inaugural year.

The winner of the raffle for $75 worth of books was Karla P. Karla took home two Mark McLaughlin titles, Snowbound! and Longboards to the Olympics, and a copy of Nona McGlashan’s biography of her grandfather C. F. McGlashan, Give me a Mountain Meadow.

Photograph winners were Nathan B., Mike P., Toni T., and one Mystery Woman whose name I did not get. (Are you she? Let us know!)

All guests were generous with donations, and the membership table eased new-member and renewal dues payments. Many thanks to Tracy Pelletier for keeping the raffle ticket sales and membership payments organized. Thank you to Greg Zirbel for announcing the raffle ticket sales and winners of the book and photograph raffles.

What would you like to see in the raffle in 2020? Let us know at [email protected].
