Errata to Mark Twain in Truckee??? article
The author has submitted the following corrections to his September 2018 Echoes newsletter article on Mark Twain in Truckee???
In the second paragraph the name 'Twain' should be replaced with 'Clemens', as he did not use the alias 'Twain' until after he became established as a newspaper reporter in Virginia City, in 1862.
In the fifth paragraph, the words "The Donner Pass Route, however..." should be replaced with "The Placerville Route, however..." since the telegraph line over Donner Pass was not installed until 1868, years after the line between Virginia City and San Francisco was installed, and was the one Twain relied on before 1868.
